Job Description

The School Design Team at Success Academy (SA) is the owner of the School Design and Policy Management Processes, which govern the identification, design, approval, implementation, and evaluation of all school design and policy changes.

Reporting to the Lead of School Design , the Project Manager will manage a portfolio of small to large school design and policy changes, on behalf of and/or in partnership with senior leadership at the Network office. The Project Manager will lead major, cross-departmental working groups - with leaders across our schooling, operations, technology, finance, human capital, communications and family engagement teams - in order to orchestrate organizational alignment at each phase of the design and policy management processes. The Project Manager will be a change agent and will collaborate with the School Design Team to foster opportunities for improvements to both the School Design and Process Management Processes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Project Manage School Design Changes: Project manage certain design changes on behalf of, and in partnership with, senior leadership across the organization, including:
    • Leadership of cross-departmental working groups for the identification, design, approval and implementation of changes to SA's school design.
    • Collaboration with Network implementation partners in Technology, Operations, Human Capital, Finance, Schooling, Communications, and Family Engagement to ensure internal alignment on all school design work and involvement of appropriate stakeholders.
    • Direct ownership of the implementation and evaluation of these design changes, inclusive of continuous improvements post roll-out.
  • Project Manage Policy Changes: Collaborate with the school design team, and various Network departments, to identify policy needs across the organization and take on ownership of managing certain policy changes, including:
    • Leadership of organizational alignment around the policy revision, or creation needs.
    • Drafting of all policy content, in collaboration with appropriate Network partners.
    • Managing approval of the new or revised policy content.
    • Direct ownership of the implementation and evaluation of these policy changes, inclusive of continuous improvements post roll-out.
  • Process Improvements: Reflect on opportunities for continuous improvement to both the School Design and Policy Management Processes, and collaborate with the School Design Team to effectuate improvements, including:
    • Evaluation of current processes based on insights from project management work.
    • Proposal of improvements.
    • Collaboration with the School Design Team to make the changes.
    • Supporting change management work necessary to embed the improvements in common practice.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • Demonstrated progression in scope and complexity of project experience; and
  • Bachelor's degree
