Working Conditions: 12 month, full time position, negotiated salary plus benefits

Effective September 1, 2011, all employees of school districts must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under law. If you already work for the school district as of September 1, 2011, and you do not live in New Jersey, you are not required to move to New Jersey. However, if you begin your office, position or employment on September 1, 2011 or later, you must reside in New Jersey. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date you take your office, position or employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your office, position or employment.

Qualifications:
- NJ School Business Administrator Certification required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Experience with New Jersey Public School business office processes.
- Minimum of five years of experience in an accounting related field with experience in school finance either as a school employee or a school auditor.
- Experience and competency using electronic payroll systems, New Jersey and Federal data systems, and data processing applications including but not limited to Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate competence in managing the business functions of a comprehensive New Jersey K-12 School District.
- Understanding of principals of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code and GAAP requirements
- Knowledge of statutory requirements and accepted practices in school districts related to budget preparation, business operations, insurance, purchasing, transportation, food services, school plant operations, facility planning, school construction, school development,grants, public school employment and collective bargaining.
- Ability to read, write and clearly communicate with staff.
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve, set goals, and work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a criminal history background check and provide proof of US citizenship or resident alien status.
- Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician.
- Possess a valid NJ Motor Vehicle Driver's License.
