    DePaul College Prep, a Vincentian, Catholic, coed high school serving 1100 students in the City of Chicago, seeks a dynamic individual for the role of theology teacher.     Job Description:
    The Theology department seeks a collaborative, energetic and positive teacher for the role of Theology Teacher. The ideal candidate is a qualified teacher with the following characteristics:

    • Has a passion for imparting social justice focused theological education and understands its importance for high school students in the modern world.
    • Collaborates with course team members, students, and parents to create the best learning environment for all students.
    • Builds and facilitates pedagogically relevant content that fosters deep conversations and critical thinking skills within theological coursework.
    • Offers consistent and constructive feedback to student work that creates a growth mindset for each individual student.
    • Strong skills in classroom management, engagement, and daily routines which will enhance student learning and educational stability.
    • Motivated to continue learning and reading outside of prep for the classroom to model being a lifelong learner.
    • Willing to adjust and be flexible with changes that will happen throughout the academic year.
    • Values and seeks to understand the cultural and social identities of each student in their class
    • Ability to integrate culturally responsive practices into daily teaching

    Qualifications:
    BA/BS Degree
    MA degree in content area preferred.


    Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and education and placement on the DePaul College Prep salary schedule.
