Job Description
The Bennington Rutland Supervisory Union is seeking applications for Substitute Bus and Van Drivers. This position will have the responsibility of a designated bus or van route in the morning and afternoon of school days with the possibility of additional driving throughout the day. Any offers of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and physical. If you are interested in this role, we are more than willing to train the right candidate as long as they meet the below minimum qualifications. 

Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour for Substitute Van Drivers and $21.00 per hour for Substitute Bus Drivers holding a valid CDL.

Responsibilities:
Transport children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons.
Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times
Obey all traffic laws
Perform pre/post trip inspections of the bus or vehicle
Ensure the safety of students at all times

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Van and Bus Drivers): High school diploma or GED Clean driving record Familiar with DOT rules and requirements At least 21 years of age Preferences (Bus Drivers): Class B License with air brakes, Passenger & School bus endorsements

No experience required

High School/Trade School degree preferred

Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
