Senior UX Researcher

WHAT WE SEEK

We are looking for an experienced UX Researcher to join our growing Design Team in the Educational Technology space. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the digital and/or education space, is comfortable leading user research across the product development process, is data-driven, and is deeply empathetic of user needs.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
  • Help drive a user-driven product roadmap, providing valuable insight into complex problems across our products;
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineers and other stakeholders to create and prioritize research plans;
  • Strengthen the user research culture within our team and across our product development processes;
  • Mentor and coach user research peers;
  • Conduct primary user research via interviews, surveys, and observations at multiple stages of the design cycle;
  • Write and present user research insights to stakeholders
  • Maintain and curate qualitative and quantitative research repositories;
  • Develop efficient and scalable user research processes;
  • Monitor user behavior via analytics, recommend areas of intervention and improvement based on data;
  • Validate and propose feature requirements with primary and secondary data analysis;
  • Develop, scale and maintain design research assets, such as user personas and customer journey maps;
  • Collaborate with designers to iterate and improve designs and prototypes in market;
  • Define success metrics for our research organization and prove effectiveness.
WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BOOKBAG
  • Degree, diploma or certificate in Computer Science (or Human Computer Interaction), Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Marketing, Sociology, or related field with statistical foundations;
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience;
  • Proven expertise in creating surveys, facilitating focus groups, conducting 1:1 interviews and leading UX research projects, both online and in-person;
  • Extensive experience with related third party tools, such as survey platforms, UX testing tools, analytics and data monitoring softwares;
  • Strong analytical skills, including both statistical analysis as well as identifying trends from qualitative data;
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience working in a customer-facing role;
  • Basic knowledge of design software such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize tasks;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - willing to experiment, test new processes, and adapt quickly;
  • Highly collaborative - demonstrated ability to work exceptionally well in teams .

This is a remote based position.
