Job Description
This individual is responsible for supporting the administration of our HR policies, procedures and programs. Day to day operations include: Auditing of Core HCM systems, workforce planning and data analysis, HRIS process testing and review, HRIS and other HR systems data management, and other related tasks.

HR Systems/Data
  • Successfully implements HR system processes. Ensures network-wide adoption of policies and programs by responding to feedback and assisting implementation.
  • Educates and supports all staff to facilitate an understanding of new functions, policies or protocols; communicates and documents processes clearly and consistently.
  • Manages escalations of HRIS issues from the Operations team, ensuring quick and thorough resolution.
  • Performs testing in Workday, Uncommon's HRIS, to diagnose and assist in the resolution of business process issues.
  • Creates and implements payroll auditing and communication, and handles payroll troubleshooting with stakeholders across the org.
  • Processes rehires and transfers, troubleshoots issues, and recommends process improvements.
  • Creates and implements PTO audits and communication from identification to resolution.
  • Owns key workstreams/audits in annual end/start of year process.
  • Assesses adherence to compliance and process requirements to achieve operational excellence.
  • Performs daily/weekly maintenance and analysis of HR data in HRIS platform and HR systems.
  • Evaluates workstreams and system business processes; makes data-driven recommendations for improvements and sees through to implementation.
  • Troubleshoots functional and system issues in a timely manner, escalating to the Systems team as necessary.
HR Support
  • Provides daily HR support to our employees and managers, using customer service ticketing systems (Zendesk), knowledge library, and other resources.
  • Assists HR team leaders with planning and rollout of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Serves as an escalation point for leaders, handling critical and time-sensitive issues with efficiency, clear communication, and a supportive mindset.
  • Leads candidate relationships from initial recruitment to offer, and enthusiastically communicates the benefits of working at Uncommon!
  • Cares deeply about and can articulate a detailed understanding of our mission and can also articulate the importance of a good interview experience to that mission.
  • Collaborates on building solid and clear communication with hiring managers and other partners.
Qualifications

  • Basic HTML knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • SHRM certification (preferred)
Experience Required
  • 4-6 years of work experience required
  • Proficient in HRISs, ideally Workday

Compensation for this position:The starting compensation for this role based in New York is between $78,800 to $92,700 and generally, we expect that qualified candidates in this location will be made an offer between $78,800and $83,400. The starting pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. Because we value staff staying in their roles over time, we do not currently cap salary ranges.
