Fall Mountain Regional School District invites applications for the position of Superintendent of schools.
Fall Mountain Regional School District is located in beautiful southwestern New Hampshire and includes the towns of Acworth, Alstead, Charlestown, Langdon and Walpole. The District consists of 12 schools, which include a comprehensive high school, three middle schools, seven elementary schools and an early learning center for preschool students. We serve approximately 1425 students and employ 450 staff members. Our towns have a rich history and culture with a collective population of 12,364 encompassing 170 square miles. The district is progressive and innovative and our teachers and support staff are highly committed to the education and success of our students.
The Superintendent shall serve as the executive officer of the school district, be responsible for the overall administrative and leadership services of the SAU, and perform the duties specified in the NH Administrative Rules Ed 302.01 and 302.02, including planning and managing the administrative and leadership services in the district within statutory requirements, state administrative rules, and district policy.

General Qualification Requirements

  • Skills competencies and knowledge outlined in NH Administrative Rules Ed 506.01
  • Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study or Doctorate degree (preferred)
  • Three (3) or more years experience as a school administrator. Previous experience as an assistant superintendent or superintendent preferred.
  • NH superintendent certification or proof of eligibility
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable
