Job Description
•Perform duties as an instructional assistant to the teacher
•Assist the teacher in the review and reinforcement of instructional lessons/activities
•Act as an individual tutor to the student. The tutoring will be done under the direct supervision of the teacher
•Comply with other duties as may be assigned by the teacher, the Director of Student Support and/or the Building Principal/Administrators as deemed appropriate.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
•Specific training course geared to the preparation of instructional assistants in the area of Special Education with some practical experience in working with special needs children.
•Successful completion of a college level course dealing with an overall survey of the nature and needs of special needs children.
•Safety Care trained
