As a Mechanic with First, you will have an important role in keeping school buses operational. Mechanic job duties include:
- Perform minor vehicle repairs.
- Jump start vehicles.
- Recognize and report vehicle issues.
- Check air pressure of tires.
- Check fluid levels and top off as needed.
- Clean and detail facility and the interiors and exteriors of vehicles as needed.
- Valid driver's license
- Automotive or diesel vocational training or 1 - 2 years of hands-on shop/lube experience
- Vehicle fueling, cleaning, and detailing experience a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
