Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinates the outreach and evangelization of high school teens in the parish through appropriate and engaging lessons, activities, programs, and ministries
• Leads adult and teen volunteers
• Provide appropriate services and programs for parents of adolescents
• Collaborates with the St. Owen staff and others in the vicariate/Archdiocese
• Manages a budget and fundraising activities
• Coordinates retreats, outings, service projects, monthly Teen Liturgies, annual Mission Trips
Financial Responsibilities:
• Review programs on a regular basis for cost saving opportunities.
• Review budget on a monthly basis
• Responsible for proper handling of receipts, bills, petty cash requests, reimbursements to volunteers, etc., for all programs and associated activities
Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
• Attend staff meetings, staff workshops/development, Worship Commission Meetings.
• Provide support to co-workers and various parish projects as needed.
• Identify and take training that will enhance job required skills

Qualifications
Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in a related field OR extensive (4yrs) experience in ministry with background studies in religion or theology. Professional Certification in Youth Ministry through the Archdiocese of Detroit is preferred or will be provided
