Birch Agency is seeking to hire a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for near South Boston, Virginia area for the remainder of the school year. This is a full-time job and we can offer you a relocation assistance and/or tax free money to those who are interested and qualify for this school opening.

We need an deaf educator who is able to work onsite in Halifax, Virginia and represent the Birch Agency is a professional manner. We need an expert and someone who has a desire to work with students of all ages and in an prekindergarten, elementary, middle and high school setting. You will be responsible for three (3) school sites, which are close by and travel time and mileage is paid.

The DHH Teacher will be providing directly and indirect service to a caseload of hearing impaired students in a K-12 setting. This is an itinerate position with about three (3) school site, all close by. We need someone has experience working with students ranging from ages 3 - 21 year of age. Team Player. Excellent communicator and able to build a rapport with teams, staff and parents. Must have reliable transportation, able to start working within the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Education Requirement

• Must hold a Masters or Bachelor's Degree (required) in the area of Deaf and Hard of Hearing from an accredited university program.
• Must hold a current North Carolina teaching license in DHH
• Completed a minimum of two (2) years as a teacher of a deaf and hard of hearing school.
