Responsibilities:

 

Design Principals spend 80-90% of their time supporting and leading client projects focused on instructional design and implementation, organizational strategy, leadership strategy, and/or data collection and surveys. This includes:

 

  • Designing and facilitating virtual and in-person strategy sessions for district leadership teams Designing and leading virtual and in-person professional development sessions for groups of teachers, coaches, and principals Building strong relationships with district/school partners across multiple projects simultaneously Developing and maintaining project plans, communicating project status to internal and external teams, and supporting decision making and execution to meet project goals and timeline Leading and coaching internal teams by creating and implementing systems for collaboration and project management, delegating accountabilities to supporting team members that leverage strengths, meet project needs, and distribute work across the team, and delivering and receiving feedback within project teams to drive both personal and team member growth and performance Speaking confidently about effective strategies for change management and capacity building, and bringing both innovative and proven solutions to common challenges in K-12 education Effectively communicating proactively and responsively in-person, over the phone/video calls, and through email with senior school, district, and state level education leaders Collaborating effectively with Education Elements team members working across various time zones, both in person and virtually

Skills:

 

  • Experience coaching and managing individuals or teams is required Knowledge of education sector, with 5+ years of experience leading projects and/or a team of educators in a school or district environment preferred Experience facilitating professional development and/or strategy sessions for teachers and leaders Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and ability to navigate ambiguity to achieve exceptional outcomes Exceptional skills as a communicator and synthesizer Highly organized, detail oriented, and thorough Creative thinker who can develop new content or improve on existing content Eager to build knowledge in strategic consulting best practices and education trends, and immediately apply learnings and feedback High level of comfort with technology, with experience using technology in an educational context preferred Willingness to travel up to 30-50%
