Devereux's Children Behavioral Health Program provides therapeutic residential treatment and education services for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral conduct disorders. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support, a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Located in Malvern, Pa, this postion will support teacher's direction by providing assistance with academic, social, and behavioral needs of assigned clients. Assists in the implementation of a basic educational programming and performing duties as directed by the building administrator or classroom teacher inclusive of indvidual tutoring or one-on-one support for a student with special needs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or univeristy.

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate's understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
