Title: Track and Field, Assistant Coach, Boys - High School

Reports to: Athletic Director

Supervises: Assistant Coaches

Terms of Employment: Annual Schedule D Position, Seasonal

Primary Function: Planning, organizing, and coaching of the High School Tracl and Field team.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and facilitate practice, workout, and training for participants.

Ensure appropriate equipment is available and set up for practice and meets.

Provide instruction during meets and practices to participants, other coaches, and spectators.

Ensure clear communication with participants and parents; respond in a timely manner to information request, comments, and complaints.

Communicate with Athletic Director to coordinate plans or resolve problems, report accidents and incidents, and record/maintain data.

Ensure the safety of guests and program participants and enforce all rules and policies with assistance of event staff.

Respond to emergencies and administer first aid, CPR and/or other medical attention as needed.

Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• SDE Certification
• Ability to successfully perform the performance responsibilities of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Experience Coaching Track and Field

Performance Evaluation: Annually by Athletic Director

Salary: Stipend, $4466
