ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH - SOFTBALL
The assistant softball coach works in partnership with the softball head coach to maintain, organize and administer the interscholastic softball program at Marian High School. The assistant softball coach is responsible for helping execute the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team they are assigned to and the overall program. Shared Responsibilities include interviewing, recommending for hire, and training volunteer coaches; planning, assigning, and directing Softball instruction; appraising student-athlete and volunteer coach performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems; The assistant Softball coach is responsible for helping promote the mission & vision of Marian High School and the core educational beliefs of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary with the school's Softball athletes and coaches on a regular basis. This includes propagating a culture of Christian faith, sportsmanship, professionalism and respect at all levels.

ABBREVIATED LIST OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Available to attend and assist with all games and pregame warmups
• Available to attend after school practices (estimated 4pm start) and assist with organizing, preparing and conducting practices.
• Assist with evaluation and assessment of selecting award recipients
• Assist with preparation and presentation of awards
• Positive attitude
• Knowledge of the game
• Preferred experience either playing or coaching organized softball at a high school level or beyond
