The Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Center is seeking qualified candidates for a HRIS Payroll Analyst.

The HRIS Payroll Analyst works in a high-volume matrixed environment with multiple locations (150) to set, drive, and ensure the implementation of major Human Resources systems projects for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

General Responsibilities:

The HRIS Payroll Analyst will serve to assist with the entire payroll operation for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The HRIS Payroll Analyst will function as a subject matter expert and primary liaison for UKG Pro payroll and time tracking. Moreover, this role assists the HRIS team in the testing and implementation of major HR systems projects.

Essential Functions:
  • Collects and analyzes information to resolve any payroll or timesheet discrepancies.
  • Serves as the direct line of support for any questions or issues related to the payroll life cycle and time tracking system.
  • Serves as point person for all ACH services banking issues for all locations.
  • Provides relevant training and knowledge sharing opportunities with the field Payroll Specialists. Will provide end user documentation, group training and presentations to field locations, as needed.
  • Advises locations on proper tax jurisdiction setup, resolves all tax notifications from various taxing agencies, and reviews and rectifies quarterly and yearly tax data. Assists with W-2 process and other year-end processes for all locations.
  • Manages garnishment payment process accurately, timely and within defined controls.
  • Advises locations in the proper configuration and taxation of special earnings for clergy and religious employees.
  • Assists in the administration of system security and end-user access.
  • Assists in maintaining UKG Pro data integrity through analysis, audits, and business intelligence reporting.
  • Performs HR processes, including but not limited to hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, leave of absence, and payroll administration, when required
  • Assists in the testing and implementation of new system releases and enhancements.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Serves as back-up for Central Services payroll processor.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an HRIS analyst with a strong focus on payroll
  • 4 year degree or combination of work experience and education equivalent
  • Practical experience with HCM systems with a focus on payroll (UKG Pro experience preferred)
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification a plus
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills with solid attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with internal partners as well as external vendors
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to create detailed, step-by-step end user guides and documentation
