SUMMARY:

The Compliance and Communications Associate at National Heritage Academies (NHA) works collaboratively with school-based and service center team members to help support NHA partner schools with the charter renewal process. This position will manage administrative duties associated with the charter renewal process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate with school and service center team members to collect important documents and data for charter renewal applications.
  • Use professional writing, editing, and organizing skills to draft and assemble charter renewal applications for submission to the authorizer.
  • Request, review, and submit documentation to the authorizer in accordance with the compliance calendar and/or information requests.
  • Maintain the charter renewal database, including updating charter goals, evaluating progress towards charter /goals, and updating annual renewal risk measures.
  • Participate in onsite visits to prepare schools for their renewal (occasional).
  • Draft correspondence for schools and authorizers.
  • Participate on NHA interdepartmental teams, as assigned.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative functions, including creating and updating spreadsheets, filing, mailing, organizing meetings, data entry, etc.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. Primary internal customers include principals, information and analytics, accounting, operations, and education team members. Primary external customers include charter authorizers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of work experience.
  • Exhibit strong computer experience, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro, CRM, and document imaging software.
  • Work independently and efficiently.
  • Multitask and prioritize work with competing deadlines.
  • Consistently display excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate through written and oral means.
  • Convey a positive, proactive attitude with all stakeholders/customers.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Assess complex situations and provide solutions.
  • Exhibit appropriate professional behavior in a variety of complex situations.
