SUMMARY:

Responsible for distribution of food, mail, instructional material, supplies and equipment. Performs inventory counts of fixed assets throughout the district.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Daily

12%

Receive verify and distribute goods for Nutrition Services

Daily

9%

Sort inter-District mail and packages including media material, paychecks, disaster recovery computer tapes, student records and vendor checks. Distribute inter-District mail to auxiliary sites and District buildings.

Pull, fill and distribute orders for frozen goods to District cafeterias.

Fill and distribute orders for dry items such as cleaning supplies, canned goods and paper goods to District cafeterias.

Remove obsolete/surplus equipment from sites. Transfer equipment and material between sites.

Distribute supplies and equipment through centralized receiving. Stock warehouse with Nutrition Services inventory received using forklifts, power jacks and pallet jacks.

Receive and distribute fresh produce to District cafeterias.

Train, certify, deliver, and pick-up scissor lifts and forklift equipment in coordination with the requests and schedules of all trades technicians and custodians.

Perform physical inventory checks of all District fixed assets.

Distribute and collect sensitive District materials and reports including CSAP tests, student records and student count information.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

0 - 2 years experience in driving large single axle trucks preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EQUIPMENT, OTHER:

Basic ability to understand documents, define problems and draw valid conclusions. Basic reading and math skills required. Operating knowledge of hand-held scanners, U.S. Postal machine and power jack required within one month of hire. Operating knowledge of single axle trucks required within one week of hire.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

A valid Colorado Driver's License is required. Employee will be required to operate District vehicles. Employee must maintain a driving record that meets the standards of the District insurance policy. Driver's license must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. Forklift certificate required within one month of hire.

SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITY:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to ambulate a ramp with a loaded dolly

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold. The employee is frequently exposed to exposed to high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

MENTAL FUNCTIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to compare, communicate, coordinate, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, and negotiate. Frequently required to analyze, copy, instruct, compute, compile. Occasionally required to synthesize.
