The Math Product Manager, Special Projects reports to the Executive Director of Math Product Management and will work collaboratively with key stakeholders throughout our organization. Special projects will include, but are not limited to, video projects, state specific solutions, and other projects identified by the math product team.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
  • Develop and manage Product Roadmaps for special projects identified by the mathematics team that may include all of our math solutions (elementary, middle school, and high school) or may be specific to just one product line
  • Identify the products, product attributes, and customer needs/requirements that will advance the learning experience and learning outcomes for hundreds of thousands of middle and high school teachers and students
  • Collaborate to develop the vision and chart the course of our overall business strategy for math
  • Maintain and communicate product visions and product roadmaps
  • Bring data and analytical rigor into our decision-making process
  • Drive customer research and interact with key stakeholders to design and deliver a comprehensive math product
  • Develop positioning and competitive strategy for this suite of math products
  • Conduct competitive analysis and analyze internal and external data to identify the key product elements and experiences that keep us ahead of the competition
  • Facilitate and collect input from stakeholders (externally: administrators, teachers, students, and parents; internally: Engineering, Instructional Design, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, QA) to build and prioritize product features and investments
  • Conduct usability testing, market analysis, and other research and discovery to enhance products and their market positioning by region.
  • Establish intra-team and cross-team collaboration throughout product design, launch, and enhancement
  • Recognize, propose, and encourage innovative concepts that keep us growing
  • Foster a collaborative environment among colleagues that keeps our teachers and students at the pulse of our work
WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BOOKBAG
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Working knowledge and experience with software product management approaches
  • Proven experience in product management; be sure to tell us what things you've accomplished or equivalent experience in the education arena
  • Book publishing and professional services experience are a plus
  • Ability to work well with sales, marketing, research, engineering, and instructional design colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking, supporting your ability to make significant product decisions
  • Expert communication skills with the ability to write and present to key stakeholders
  • A thirst for educational innovation while being up-to-date with the latest trends, policies, and best practices in education and product management
  • Proficiency with computers and programs, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Content platforms (including Drive, Docs, and Sheets), and Adobe Acrobat
