Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications or journalism, minimum 5 years experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of district policies and procedures. Public school experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; photo and video editing skills preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
- Experience updating and creating content for websites.
- Familiarity with social media platforms.
- Able to coordinate and gather relevant district information timely.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, district staff, students, teachers and the general public.
- Ability to keep accurate records, files and reports.
- Ability to work independently, performing individual projects and routine matters with minimal direction from the supervisor.
- Ability to work within the department's budget and create purchase orders.
- Must work well under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to multitask.
