Knowledge of crisis intervention and prevention strategies and mental health issues; Ability to provide therapeutic assistance for students with emotional and behavioral needs; Make home visits as needed; Knowledge of bullying prevention; Ability to facilitate student groups focusing on divorce, family loss issues, friendship; Provide mandated counseling to special education students; Investigate and address attendance and residency issues; Report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect; Assist students and families in crisis and provide assistance as needed. Assist in supervising and overseeing Medicaid counseling sessions. Must be willing to be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
