Description of Service Opportunity:
The after school tutor is responsible for providing specially designed instruction to students with disabilities outside of the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education services to students with disabilities
- Provide explicit instruction and/or support in reading/literacy
- Progress monitor student mastery of IEP goals and objectives using various assessments and data collection tools
- Provide instruction of students using systematic, structured and multi-sensory approaches to learning
Minimum Requirements/Job Qualifications:
- Specialized training/certification in a foundational reading program such as orton-gillingham or wilson reading
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication
- Demonstrated ability in collaborating and supporting parents and families
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Special Education, Master's preferred, concentration in learning disabilities preferred
Contract Dates:
July 1, 2022 through January 30, 2023
Contract Amount
$40.00 per hour, Not to exceed $9,600.00
