The Coatesville Area School District (CASD) Board of Directors seeks an outstanding educational leader to apply to be its next superintendent of schools. The board, staff and community are looking for a visionary leader to engage the hearts and minds of all of our students through relevant high-quality learning experiences that prepare them to be active twenty-first century citizens in a global society, and to promote a community of encouragement and a culture of excellence.

Located in the beautiful and historic northwestern section Chester County, Coatesville Area School District covers approximately 75 square miles and serves nine Municipalities, Caln, East Fallowfield, Sadsbury, Valley, West Brandywine, West Caln Townships, the boroughs of South Coatesville and Modena and the city of Coatesville. Serving over 6,000 students, CASD students are challenged, engaged and inspired through a multitude of academic opportunities, passionate educators and innovative teaching methods. The school district is comprised of 11 schools: six elementary, three middle schools, one high school and one cyber academy. The district employs 592 staff members and has an annual operating budget of nearly $177 million.

The CASD Board of Directors is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader who has a strong academic background and experience managing a large administrative team. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong leadership in proactive decision-making and consensus building. Candidates must have a strong desire to continue improving diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the district. The candidate must have the ability to lead and direct multiple tasks.

The CASD is offering a multiyear contract that features a regionally competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must possess, or be eligible for, a Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility. The target date for employment is January 1, 2023 or as soon as possible.
