The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a well-organized, friendly and compassionate full-time HR Benefits Specialist, Leave Administration and ADA Coordinator. Purpose: Human Resource Specialist, Leave Administration and ADA Coordinator will oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans. This position will lead and manage the annual open enrollment for benefits and onboarding new hire benefits through ADP Workforce Now platform. The HR Specialist is also responsible for offboarding employees and supporting the end of employment transition including retirement, unemployment, and COBRA administration.

Core Duties
  1. Administration of FMLA, sick and discretionary leave, ADA accommodations and return to work plans
  2. Benefit administration
  3. Workplace safety and COVID exposure response
  4. Policy Compliance
  5. WC claims administration
  6. Offboarding employess

Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 2 years experience with ADP/Workforce Now HR platform or other similar program. CES is interested in candidates with ADP/Workforce Now experience.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Human Resource Generalist with significant demonstrated leadership and responsibilities with benefit adminstration and employee relations.
  3. Minimum of 3 years managing FMLA and Leave Administration for a large workforce of 200+
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and State Disability laws and employer compliance
  5. Experience managing a caseload of ADA accommodation, coordinating the interactive process with efficiency and demonstrated best practice.
  6. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, public administration, business administration or related field required
  7. Knowledge of and commitment to principles and practices of social justice, equity, and inclusion and experience creating an organizational culture of care and inclusion.
  8. Proficient the creation of PPT training, Google Suite.and G-Mail calendar management.
  9. Especially excited about candidates who understand and have HR experience with public K-12 educators and specialists
  10. Experience developing training materials and delivering HR workforce training
  11. Knowledge of HRIS systems, best practice with confidential record keeping and FMLA management platform utilization.
  12. Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of public, nonprofit Human Resources administration, including equal employment opportunity, DEI practices; employee benefits, employee leave administration and workplace investigations
  13. Labor Relations experience with teachers collective bargaining units a plus

Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 - full time 40 hour work week. .

Work location: Administrative Office, 97 Hawley Street, Northampton. This is a hybrid work arrangement with onsite and remote scheduling.

Health Insurance is offered through Tufts/Harvard Pilgrim and includes two plan options: PPO with a self-funded Health Savings Account, and HMO with a Health Reimbursement Account funded by CES to support a portion of health insurance deductions. FSA and Dependent Care accounts are available. Eligible for MA State Retirement.
