Basalt Elementary School - Special Education (MMN) Teacher
Basalt Elementary is seeking applications for a dynamic, knowledgeable, innovative, Special Education teacher to ensure that every student develops the enduring knowledge, skills and character to thrive in a changing world.

At Basalt Elementary School, our mission is to partner with our community, to inspire students to thrive by building relationships, achieving academic success, and providing enriching learning opportunities in both Spanish and English. We are a school that offers a dual language program. This program provides support in learning the English language for our native Spanish speakers.

Required Qualifications:
  • Colorado Special Education License


Desired Qualifications:
  • Elementary teaching experience

  • Experience teaching students to learn to read; recent training in the science of reading

  • Experience with experiential education, project-based learning, or other similar models.

  • Experience teaching a diverse population of students.

  • Experience in adventure, outdoor, and/or environmental education settings.

  • Strong background in literacy and mathematics instruction.

  • Bilingual

Pay Range

$50,000 to 71,895 **Based on education and years of experience

**Annual salary noted above is based on an 8 hour day (FTE 1) and full days worked calendar. Any position that is less than a full FTE/8 hours per day or late start will be prorated accordingly.
