Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
- Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in accounting or finance, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting best practices, internal controls, IRS regulations, federal grant regulations, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the reporting requirements of the Governmental Auditing Standards Board (GASB).
- Ability to translate federal, state, and local regulations into efficient operational policies and processes.
- Ability to manage, evaluate, and supervise program activities and personnel.
- Ability to maintain working relationships with school, county, and outside agency personnel.
- Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups.
- Proficiency in the use of technology, data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Master's degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
- Project management and system implementation experience.
