    DATA ASSISTANT - HELP DESK
    CENTRAL OFFICE
    Role and Responsibilities:

    Under the direction of the supervisor, the Data/ Help Desk Coordinator performs and manages a variety of activities related to entering and maintaining student's into our data system including but not limited to the following: , reviews online registrations for accuracy and alignment to our student information system, works with multiple departments to assist in central registration process, communicate with families to obtain registrations in a timely manner, work with supervisor to refine registration process on a yearly basis, and maintains proper documentation for yearly dissemination to schools and families

    Essential Functions:
    • Assists SIS Manager in the implementation, maintenance, and execution of the online enrollment program and process
    • Assist SIS Manager in creating communications within the online registration platform for schools
    • Applies knowledge of work being processed to correct system edit errors
    • Assists the district with outreach to families regarding registration process
    • Assists in the development and execution of registration procedures as required
    • Assists with Registration web page development and maintenance
    • Assists with various state reporting
    • Assist supervisor in creating student registration reports for schools
    • Enters, changes, corrects, updates, and retrieves information
    • Assists in establishing and maintaining procedures for effective work flow regarding registration
    • Instructs others in student registration system procedures
    • Maintains logs and records
    • Organizes and prepares work for input and distribution
    • Represents Student Information Services at meetings
    • Trains backups or users in operation of equipment and procedures
    • Performs related duties as required

    Qualifications and Education Requirements
    • Associate Degree and two (2) years of experience working with online registration system and student information system
    • Two (2) years' experience with Microsoft applications
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or designee find appropriate


    Preferred Skills
    • Strong knowledge of online registration systems, content and procedure
    • Strong knowledge of current student information system content
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software - including Excel, Word, Publisher, and Power Point
    • Proficient in Excel performance tasks
    • Strong computer skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to maintain accurate records in student information system
    • Strong ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to train staff on multiple platforms - including online registration and student information system
    • Ability to schedule and prioritize workflow
    • Ability to perform assigned tasks effectively and accurately

    Union: UFT
    Schedule: M - F 37.5 hours/week - 12 months
    Salary: Salary: Tier #6 - $61,779.30
