High School Principal

Masters in approved and related field of study. Valid NYS certification SAS/SDA/SBL. Minimum of five years of experience in public school, teaching, administration and/or supervision. Twelve month position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The organization, supervision, and management of secondary programs in the following manner, including but not limited to:
Provide leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of the instructional programs and curriculum to insure that the requirements and goals of the State Education Department are met.
Plan for and organize procedures, policies and practices for building organization and management, school safety, student discipline, and foster a community of diversity, equity, and inclusivity.
Select, recommend, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching personnel and provide professional encouragement and development opportunities relevant to district goals, mission, and strategic planning.
Determine and administer business budget management procedures and processes.
Assist with development and administration of preventive and remedial measures and disciplinary standards and procedures utilizing pupil personnel and specialized staff.
Work with parents and community members to promote development of information and involvement with school programs and activities.
Develop, promote, and attend student services and activities involving student progress, safety, extra-curricular activities, graduation, and programs for at-risk students.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the School Board.
