Senior Operations Analyst, Business Intelligence & Operations

Position summary

In the Senior Operations Analyst role, you will primarily be responsible for on-going revenue and expense reporting out of business systems. In addition, you will provide recommendations for improvements to business systems for the above purpose and support their implementation and use. Additionally, you will provide assistance with sales training (including systems and process training), project coordination, creating and maintaining documentation. This position includes cross-departmental coordination, project management and general activities to assist the Partner Accounts (sales) management team. This is a full-time position and candidates may work remotely from any location within the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain reporting and analytical tools and manage recurring and ad-hoc reporting needs of Sales senior management to monitor and analyze sales performance at various levels. Also, provide report design and development support to the field sales organization in self-service reporting and analytical capabilities.
  • Gain the maximum benefit from NWEA's business systems for comprehensive reporting and analysis of Partner (customer) revenue and departmental expenses by recommending and implementing best practices around business system use, enhancements, and training
  • Ensure CRM structure meets use needs and define and implement changes as necessary to meet needs of Partner Accounts users, particularly in accurate sales revenue tracking.
  • Responsible for data management and administration of Salesforce.com. Manage processes and tools that will maintain data integrity and accuracy of Salesforce.com data. Areas of focus include managing duplicate data, data aging, accuracy, and ensuring completeness of active data in the system
  • Assist in the development of internal audits and controls to ensure integrity of business processes and data
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute systems process documentation (CRM and Sales Process Manual) and deliver process training for the Partner Accounts organization
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments by understanding the sales model and ensuring the integrity of information available through various system and reporting structures
  • Deliver systems and process training to new hires and manage on-going Salesforce.com usability and efficiency training as needed

Skills and abilities
  • Requires an excellent understanding of SaaS-based revenue model, forecasting, quota assignment and management in a complex broadly distributed sales force.
  • Must be highly proficient with Salesforce.com; specifically, its reporting, dashboard, forecast management and territory management capabilities.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft suite of products with extensive Microsoft Excel experience
  • Experience using general accounting systems and budgeting tools; NetSuite and Adaptive preferred.
  • Experience using a business intelligence tool; PowerBI preferred
  • Project management and training experience required
  • Familiarity with E-Commerce systems and integration of E-Commerce with a CRM
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Ability to meet short deadlines, with often complex data reporting requirements
  • Self-motivated, willingness to learn and self-teach
  • Ability to lead and actively participate on working teams
  • Ability to work with and protect confidential information required
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills; ability to determine trends and propose solutions
  • Must be able to perform the physical and intellectual requirements of the role, with or without accommodation

Education and experience
  • At least five years of progressively greater experience using Salesforce.com, particularly in reporting, dashboards, and forecasting.
  • BS in Business Management or equivalent degree/experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 4+ years progressive experience in business operations capacity
  • Previous experience with accounting, budgeting and business intelligence tools required; NetSuite, Adaptive and Power BI preferred
