Sacred Heart School is seeking an enthusiastic and highly talented teacher. The successful candidate will teach religion, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies to students in a self-contained classroom. The candidate should possess a BA/BS degree (Master degree preferred) and state certification. The candidate will be required to teach formal religion lessons, so he/she must also be a practicing Catholic familiar with the teachings of the Church.
The successful candidate must also:
- demonstrate effective planning skills by preparing lessons aligned to state standards
- effectively integrate technology into instruction and learning activities
- develop and use multiple forms of assessment and evaluation to ensure student growth
- establish a system of classroom management which promotes self-direction, self-regulation, and a positive self image
- maintain an active and engaging learning environment
- communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration
- works collaboratively with staff
