School Business Manager:
20 hours/week (times/dates flexible) / hybrid (on-site at least once per week)
Located less than a mile from Harvard Square, St. Peter School is an Archdiocesan Roman Catholic school serving girls and boys in K1 through Grade 8. St. Peter School was founded in 1901 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame and has been a pillar of the Cambridge community for more than 100 years. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and offers a rigorous academic program to a diverse student population.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Support and monitor the school's financial planning, activity, and cash flow management
-Manage the school's human resources operations, including biweekly payroll and timesheet submissions
-Ensure all invoices and bills are promptly paid
-Handle vendor relations and communication, as needed
-Manage all school bookkeeping/accounting
-Create and provide financial reports, as requested (monthly donor reports, income statements, budget reports, etc).
-Complete monthly credit card reconciliations and regular audits
-Liaison with the Archdiocese of Boston Finance Department on relevant matters
-Support the Director of Admissions in collecting tuition and disbursing financial aid
-Support the Director of Advancement in processing donations, tracking gifts, and making bank deposits in a timely manner
-Support the Lunch Program and After-School Program in collecting fees
-Manage all accounts receivable and accounts payable
-Perform other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications - Candidates should have or possess:
-2+ years of accounting experience
-Discretion handling confidential employee, vendor, organization, and donor information
-A shared dedication to the Catholic identity and mission of St. Peter School
-Strong communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with families and coworkers
-Experience with online banking, bookkeeping, and payroll software
