Location: Child Outreach Office; DeAnna Cotoia, Sp. Ed. Supervisor - 797 Westminster Street

Child Outreach Evaluation Support (1 position)

Begin scheduling the 2022 -2023 school year screening calendar to support preschool expansion and the addition of 6 RI PK's.

Summer (15 days- spread over 7/5/2022 through 8/25/2022)

Child Outreach Evaluation Support will assist the summer team of qualified professionals and the Developer of Early Childhood Partnerships to maintain compliance with both pre-kindergarten evaluations and child outreach screenings. The person filling this position will enter screening information for children that have been screened into the Department of Health/RIDE state wide data base - kidsnet. The person filing this position will assist with scheduling appointments and support the Team of qualified professionals with the referral review process for child outreach referrals. This person will finalize IEP's and update Skyward and Kidsnet.

Rhode Island Early Learning and Development standards classroom training

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CURRICULAR LINKAGES

• Maintain child outreach screening data in Kidsnet

• Contact families for screening

• Complete screenings, if necessary

• Participate as a member of the team of qualified professionals

• Develop pre-kindergarten IEP's aligned with the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards

• Complete pre-kindergarten observations aligned with the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards

• Contact Universal Pre-kindergarten and Head Start programs to provide support in collecting and scheduling child outreach screenings

• Complete IEPs on Easy IEP

• Enter Data into Skyward

• Effective time management

• Provide Special Education Manager with weekly report of work accomplished

• Finalize IEPs, update in Kidsnet and Skyward

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS

• Early Childhood Special Education Certification

• Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Classroom level certificate

• State training on Kidsnet data entry and a signed confidentiality agreement.

• Trained by RIDE in utilizing and entering data properly the Kidsnet system.

• Thorough knowledge of the current child outreach process and the screening tools utilized.
