DESCRIPTION
- The position is full-time working with school districts in the four-county area as a Social Worker.
- To participate in the identification and intervention of pre-school through secondary age students whose capacity to learn or to have a positive educational experience is significantly hindered by the presence of emotional and behavioral problems requiring multidisciplinary interventions.
- Work with the student and/or family in collaborative consultation with all school agency personnel to be directed toward the access of and benefit from the student's educational program.
- Participate as needed in the Instructional Support and Student Assistance Team meetings within school districts; participate and have input into the Multidisciplinary Evaluation process, and participate in the development and implementation of individual Education Plan students identified in need of social work services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must possess strong communication skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues, and lead school teams.
- Home and School Visitor certification or Social Worker License required
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Acceptable GPA in major, at least 3 letters of professional recommendation.
- Acceptable Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances
