EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Required:
  • Associates degree
  • Specialized courses in accounting/bookkeeping and technical computer applications
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and computer software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and data entry skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Google Suite.
  • Proficiency with office equipment such as telephones, copier, fax machine, E-mail, etc.
  • Operating knowledge of Infinite Visions and some experience with Infinite Campus within two months after entering the position.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary/Objective:
Responsible for the collection, verification, and posting of all district deposits. Manage the district online credit/debit card payment system web store through Revtrak and Square along with other integrated online payment programs that may be required. Responsible for tracking, reconciling, and reporting select local grants. Serve as the backup for assistance with the financial software application, School ERP Pro (formerly InfiniteVisions), and continues to identify improvements beneficial to the district for the financial software.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for the collection, verification, and posting of all deposits for district departments and schools.
  • Responsible as lead contact for submitting and updating items for the web store as well as for administering and training district personnel and accounts within the web store.
  • Audit account information and purchases made through the web store to ensure proper recording of transactions.
  • Manage and provide training for Square point of sale system as well as process deposited funds via Square.
  • Prepare daily deposits of online payments as well as refunds and reports as needed.
  • Serve as the liaison for all integrated online payment programs.
  • Print and prepare for mailing district accounts payable, payroll, and bond checks.
  • Compile grant balances and effectively and professionally communicate with schools and departments.
  • Track local grants in a method similar to grant team accountants for consistency across the system.
  • Support grant accountants with other needs as necessary.
  • Serve as backup for assistance with the district financial software system School ERP Pro.
  • Establish new accounts and workflow for employees in School ERP Pro.
  • Maintain in and out of district employee self service accounts, as well as recognize new hires and departed employees and create accounts as needed.
  • Derive, compile and use data in all phases of report processing and ensure accurate and timely reporting from the district's application and systems for use by administrators and school community.
  • Develop new reports and modify existing reports for accounting personnel and financial system end users.
  • Create program and/or system documentation.
  • Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies, and building and department procedures.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Other Duties:
Knowledge, Skills, and Mental Ability
  • Experience with technology and managing financial software systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google software applications.
  • Knowledge of Infinite Visions and Infinite Campus preferred/
  • Knowledge of the application of general accounting principles from experience and education in bookkeeping and accounting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Past experience in web design, software system management, and or user administration
  • Proficient in data entry procedures and operation of the computer.
  • Ability to key and verify mathematical computations accurately and rapidly.
  • Skill in the operation of computer and 10-key calculator.
  • Ability to think creatively and identify procedural improvements as needed.
  • Good personal relationship skills.
  • Ability to perform all functions of the position.
