Description
POSITION: 4K Teacher SUPERVISOR: Director GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Director and in accordance with the policies of K-Prep, the 4K teacher is responsible for the implementation of the program lesson plans and the wellbeing of the children in the program. This is a part-time, school year based, renewable position, with the potential for additional hours up to or equaling full-time if desired. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Oversee all 4K educational programming for children enrolled in the program. 2. Identify and meet the needs of the children in the program. 3. Work with students on the daily activities, provide child supervision and communicate with parents as necessary. 4. Work with the Director regarding budgeting, planning, and implementation of the 4K program. 5. Communicate with the parents, children, K-Prep, and the Waukesha School District with professionalism and respect. 6. Adhere to all of K-Prep disciplinary policies and communicate with the Director regarding all disciplinary actions with children. 7. Follow K-Prep emergency procedures to insure the safety of all children. 8. Maintain clean and well organized work and program spaces at all times. 9. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Director. 10. Uphold and exemplify the policies and guidelines of K-Prep. 11. Attend K-Prep meetings and professional development as required. EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE: BA/BS DPI teaching license for Early Childhood - Special Education
