Description:
An exciting opportunity for an individual who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, high energy level, creativity and the ability to teach all levels of music. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and the ability to teach all levels of middle school music including: working with students with diverse musical skills; leading large choral ensembles and small select ensembles with repertoires ranging from madrigals to vocal jazz; the ability to be available for performances outside the school day and in the community; ability to teach general music / music appreciation The ability to create a positive, enthusiastic, dynamic classroom atmosphere implementing cooperative learning and participation in classroom activities is necessary, as well as the ability to cultivate student leadership and responsibility leading to self-directed learning and performance.

Qualifications:
Connecticut Teaching Certificate #049 Music PK-12.

Salary:
In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Education Association of Cheshire .
