West Hartford Public Schools is seeking a candidate with a proactive nature for a full-time clerical paraprofessional position for the 2022-23 school year at Smith STEM School. Candidate must be flexible, patient and detail oriented. The role of this position supports the school office and/or teaching staff as needed. This is a 10-month position with full benefits such as participation in town pension plan, paid holidays, sick days, family illness days and a personal day. Bilingual candidate English/Spanish or English/Portuguese preferred.

Paraprofessionals are expected to exhibit professionalism, punctuality, and attentiveness of job responsibilities at all times.

Requirement: High school education or GED.

Qualifications:
  • Prior clerical experience preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Google, Word, Excel and other technology.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
Rate of pay is $15.68 per hour.
