The Teacher Aide works under the direction of the Classroom Teacher and is responsible for working with individual students and/or small groups. Some of the other responsibilities of the Teacher Aide are to prepare project work, pull workbook pages, bulletin boards and keep track of notes that come in daily. Teacher Aides monitor snack, free play and outside recess. The Teacher Aide brings children to the bathroom, participates in daily lunch duty and accompanies children to Specialists( i.e. gym, music, art etc.). When necessary, Teacher Aides fill in for Lead Teacher and may be used as a Substitute in another classroom.

Job Requirements

• Certificate from Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care as a Teacher.
  Experience working with children ages 3-5.
• At least 1 yearof relevant experience preferred
• High School/Trade School degree preferred
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
