JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Solely responsible for the management and the coordination of the disability and mental health services within the agency.
• Monitor the necessary assessments and screenings required by the Head Start Performance Standards.
• Works collaboratively with Holy Cross Management Team, Community members, staff and parents
• Able to work diplomatically while making hard decisions that benefit the agency
• Maintains records and prepares/submit reports of disabilities and mental health services as directed by the Executive Director and Grantee Disabilities Services Specialist.
• Assists parents of children with disabilities prior to, during and after the CPSE evaluation process.
• Initiates and monitors screening, documentation, and referral process for all children with disability or mental health concerns.
• Assists in coordinating with the LEA's for students with disabilities, with input from classroom teachers and therapists (speech, physical and occupational therapists) when applicable.
• Maintains confidentiality

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Special Education, with three (3) years working experience with children having disabilities and challenging behaviors; knowledge of the CPSE process; work experience with low income families, previous Head Start experience desirable.
