ABOUT OUR DISTRICT:

The Syracuse City School District is undergoing a new phase of innovation and transformation with the goal of ensuring that all students graduate high school with the skills needed to be ready for college and career. LOCATION:

HW Smith PK-8 School

WORKING HOURS:

This position will work 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. The working hours for this position are 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM. These hours are subject to modification.

SALARY/COMPENSATION:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $19.64 per hour, per the Unit 6 contractual agreement. This pay rate includes a $0.75 hourly differential for working the night shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• All candidates must be on the current Onondaga County Civil Service eligibility list for the title of Custodian I.
• The ideal candidate will have municipal cleaning and supervisory experience, in a unionized setting.
• The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check, at the cost of $101.75 to the candidate.
