Job Summary

Manages and oversees community and fee-based after school programs to support increased student learning. Collaborates with school-based leadership staff, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations in the delivery of educational, recreational, and cultural services for students and families.

Essential Functions

1. Coordinates, on a county-wide basis, administrative and programmatic components, and activities of community and fee-based after school instructional programs.

2. Collaborates with governmental agencies and non-profit organizations to maximize the use of school facilities in the delivery of education, recreational, social, civic, cultural and health services to the public.

3. Ensures appropriate contract deliverables with outside community agencies are established. Monitors implementation, maintenance and/or evaluation of on-site programs. Prepares, or oversees the preparation of, and submits reports and maintains appropriate records.

4. Collaborates with community agencies and program leaders to maximize before and after school wraparound services for students and families.

5. Supervises and trains assigned staff, conducts performance appraisals, makes employment and discipline recommendations, and coordinates work assignments.

6. Develops and coordinates training for Extended Day Enrichment Program staff in coordination with District and State guidelines.

7. Assists programs in the development of individual program site budgets and monitors for solvency.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.


Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Preferred five (5) years of combined teaching and administrative experience in public education. Preferred experience supervising district or community-based programs and community relationships.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and district regulations related to Community Education-Extended Day-Driver Education

  • Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to conduct in-service training
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
