General Purpose

Responsible for providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for providing coordination for college and career readiness and related activities as aligned to SPS curriculum standards; assisting and supporting school personnel in design, development, and alignment of curriculum and instructional methodologies as directed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Analyzes a variety of program and/or student related data identifying the relevant issues and/or gaps and recommending or implementing a plan of action that will provide direction and support to efficiently address the needs.

Collaborates with internal and external personnel implementing and/or maintaining services and programs.

Maintains Career and Technical Education services within established guidelines and standards.

Coordinates program components and processes for selection and allocation of instructional materials, supplies and equipment delivering services in compliance with established guidelines.

Facilitates meetings, workshops, training, and seminars conveying and/or gathering information.

Assists with Career and Technical Education work including but not limited to: curriculum creation, IRC alignment, industry partnerships, capital project requests, ordering of equipment and exams, teacher professional development, and creation of advisory board meeting agenda items.

Assists Coordinator with concentrator tracking, IRC testing, and CTE certificate data.

Supports the programming requirements and curriculum development for Launch Missouri Workforce Development.

Collects required CTSO data for DESE submission.

Participates in meetings, workshops, and conferences conveying and gathering information and addressing college and career readiness.

Prepares a wide variety of written materials documenting activities, providing written reference, gathering and/or conveying information.

Provides professional learning and ongoing support to teachers providing information, making recommendations, and/or development plans for improving curriculum and/or instruction.

Provides information and serves as a resource to internal and external stakeholders.

Researches a variety of information recommending improvements and/or additions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the District's college and career readiness efforts.

Transports a variety of equipment and supplies ensuring the availability of materials required to complete assignments.

Perform other related duties as required/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Master's Degree in a job-related area from an accredited college or university, required.

Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility, required.

Educational administrative experience, preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements

Missouri Teaching Credential in Career and Technical Education content area, required.

Possession of a valid Driver's license, with evidence of insurability.

Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems.

Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include leadership strategies, change management strategies, characteristics of adult learners, high-yield instructional strategies to promote student engagement and increase student achievement, using instructional data to make decisions about lesson design, and strategies for engaging students and adults.

Skill to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.

Skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job, including preparing and maintaining accurate records; operating standard office equipment including using job related software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate record.

Ability to analyze situations to define issues, draw conclusions and create action plans.

Ability to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use job-related equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.

The work is medium work that requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Must possess the physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.

Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, manual dexterity, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
