GIRLS' A SOCCER COACH

Are you a soccer coach with a passion and commitment to coaching youth in a fun, competitive, safe, and sportsperson-like manner?

Essex Westford School District is seeking a Coach for Albert D. Lawton School's Girls' soccer team for their fall 2022 season. We are looking for a committed individual who will be able to coach soccer in a fun, competitive, and sportsmanlike manner. Prior experience working with middle school students is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Soccer rules and regulations is required. The position pays a stipend for the season.

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate at the commencement of the sports season for which the person has been appointed to coach. Candidates must also meet the certification and training requirements of the VPA, which requires certification in Sports First Aid and Fundamentals in Coaching within one year of hire. Acceptable certifications include ASEP (American Sport Education Program) certification or NFHS (National Federation of High Schools). The VPA also requires coaches to complete the NFHS elective courses entitled, "CONCUSSION IN SPORTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW." and "IMPLICIT BIAS". These are online courses that can be found at www.nfhslearn.com, and are free of charge. All coaches must complete these 20-30 minute courses before they can coach at the middle school level in Vermont.
