Position Purpose: As Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton (SHS) undertakes a capital campaign beginning in the fall of 2022, the Campaign Communications Associate will manage and coordinate all communications activity to promote SHS and successful completion of the campaign.

Essential Job Functions
  • Under the direction of the Director of Institutional Advancement and Director of Strategic Communications, the Campaign Communications Associate will be responsible for coordinating all campaign communications and branding activities.
  • Oversee the production of all campaign marketing materials, including videos, pushpage invitations, social media posts, marketing brochures, campaign newsletters, donor proposals and other collateral materials for the campaign.
  • Create video content encompassing SHS programs, profiles and donor stories for campaign use.
  • Regularly attend and participate in Campaign Committee meetings, as well as all (general) Parent Association meetings.
  • Works with the Director of Institutional Advancement and Manager of Advancement Services to prepare monthly campaign reports, including:
    • Prepares monthly productivity reports on gift status (cultivation, ask gifts solicited but not committed), and total amount committed or received toward the goal.
    • Prepares reports projecting the various gift levels and timeframes
    • Prepares monthly updates of the campaign timetable
  • Assists in the preparation of proposals for top prospects.
  • Provide support for high-profile campaign activities and events of the Advancement team, as needed (e.g., Annual Fund, Auction, Alumni events, other)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Institutional Advancement.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Experienced in media relations and journalist cultivation, with demonstrated story placement and familiarity with best practices
  • Bachelors degree (English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and consistently produce quality work in deadline-driven environment
  • Must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Must be creative, flexible, and committed to delivering excellent customer service and stewardship
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to communicate effectively with school representatives, parents, students, alumni, donors and representatives from the business community
  • Experienced in facilitating meetings and presenting information to a variety of audiences
  • A track record of achieving goals and being a successful team player
  • A clear commitment to the mission of the school as articulated in the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Schools
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
  • Must comply with all state vaccination requirements and show proof of vaccination including but not limited to COVID-19 or proof of eligibility for exemption.
  • Work primarily in a traditional climate controlled office environment. Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Able to travel safely and comfortably across a 64 acre campus.
  • Available to work evenings and some weekends, as needed
  • Speak and hear to communicate effectively with the school population and the public
  • Physically able to assist, when necessary, with event setup and breakdown, including occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs.
