Job Description: Music Director Stipend position
Reporting to the Director of the Spring Musical, the Music Director is responsible for overall musical performance the show. The music director works with the cast to ensure they know and can perform the music of the show, running rehearsals as needed, and assisting the director when asked. Strong applicants have a background in music including experience conducting a pit orchestra, have experience working with high school students, and an understanding of the mission and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph. In addition to the responsibilities above the Music Director is expected to manage/ oversee the following aspects of theatrical productions.
Responsibilities:
Teaches students music for the spring musical
Hires the band/ orchestra with the approval of the Director and Fine Arts Director
Conducts the Band for the shows
Works individually with students and their voice parts
Assists Director and collaborates on overall performance
Serves as part of the casting team
Auditions December 2022
Performances March 2023
