This is You:
- You hold a Bachelor's Degree from accredited College or University
- Massachusetts teacher licensure in Reading (all levels), or English Language Arts (8-12), or ESL (5-12)
- Experience and/or training in research based reading/literacy programs
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of demonstrated successful teaching
- Successful experience in consultation and training of teachers highly desirable
Highlights of What You Will Do:
- Support the DYS reading initiatives and work to strengthen and expand the reading programs through curriculum development and professional development
- Provide targeted in-person reading intervention supports for students with identified need
- Collaborate with site team in scheduling, integration of curriculum, and program procedures
- Provide direct support to teachers addressing appropriate reading accommodations and
modifications - Remain current and communicate the latest writings and research on literacy instruction and the adolescent learner to teachers and administrators
- Create a classroom environment that is supportive and conducive to learning
