  • Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement
    Salary Range: $83,385 - $116,739
    Qualifications: 1. Master's degree preferred with a major in the field of education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
    2. 5 years or more progressive academic experience as a teacher or related field.
    3. Satisfactory work record & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151).
    4. Such additional modification or alternatives to the above qualifications as the board or superintendent may determine appropriate and acceptable.

    Summary The Family and Community Coordinator works in collaboration with the Director of the Office of Student Engagement and Experience to develop a comprehensive strategy and implementation of all family and community engagement initiatives in fulfillment of the district's mission and vision. The Family and Community Coordinator is the primary liaison for family and community work and managing the Family and Community Engagement specialists. These initiatives include family education, engagement opportunities, family communication with families and community organizations to improve overall outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Support the achievement of positive outcomes in the Office of Student Engagement and Experience, related to family and community engagement.
    2. Work in collaboration with the Executive Director of Student Engagement and Experience to create, implement and monitor a district family and community engagement framework that aligns with the goals of the Office.
    3. Oversee the planning and implementation of monthly meetings with the team members working directly with school leaders, educators, counselors, parents, guardians, families, and attendance team members.
    4. Collaborate with community agencies to promote efficient and effective social emotional, family engagement.
    5. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations related to efficient and effective delivery of family and community engagement.
    6. Monitor and incorporate emerging and best practice research on educating and engaging families and community across district schools.
    7. Oversee family advisory group(s) to provide feedback on district initiatives, policy, etc.
    8. Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of home and school communication.
    9. Analyze and use data to inform decisions to develop and implement strategic, continuous, action plans to improve family engagement programs and services.
    10. Develop, implement, and monitor family and community performance indicators District's strategic direction and priorities.
    11. Serve on external community committees in furtherance of the District's mission and vision.
    12. Perform duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner as defined in the Pennsylvania Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators and the District's code of conduct.
    13. Collaborate with the Executive Director of Student Engagement and Experience to develop and implement strategic and continuous improvement plans and the establishment of models designed to improve family engagement through a two-way feedback loop of communication.
    14. Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Superintenden?

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Directly supervise relevant Family and Community Engagement staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommending new hires, and training employees; planning and coordinating work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints, and resolving problems; and carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the District's policies and applicable laws.
