Advancement Director

Primary Focus: Advance the mission of St. Mary's School through increased financial support and community engagement. Increase finance support through fundraising and community engagement through friend raising.

Specific Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive, strategic, and goal oriented Giving and Stewardship Program at St. Mary's, which includes:
• Establish and maintain constituent database
• Organize and execute Annual Appeal
• Establish schedule - potentially 3x/year
• Compose related and segmented correspondence
• Process and record income
• Coordinate thank you and stewardship correspondence for Principal's signature
• Plan, write, design and produce Annual Giving Report
• Direct Annual St. Mary's Auction
• Coordinate Annual Auction including volunteer recruitment and management
• Select venue and all-related logistics
• Design/develop sponsor and donation solicitation
• Work with school administration on focal points and fund-a-dream
• Coordinate thank you and stewardship correspondence for Principal's signature
• Co-lead Annual Fenwick/St. Mary's Golf Tournament
• Work in tandem with Fenwick's Advancement staff to plan and coordinate
• Ensure timely communication with all St. Mary's constituents
• Solicit sponsors
• Coordinate thank you and stewardship correspondence
• Pursue Grant Writing
• Research appropriate grant opportunities to support program initiatives
• Develop funding proposals in collaboration with Bishop Fenwick as necessary
• Collaborate on constituent relations program:
• Work with Director of Communication and Director of Admissions to sustain and increase engagement of parents, alumni, parents of alumni, former faculty and staff, and other community members
• Support efforts to elevate the mission, vision, brand, and profile of St. Mary's by assisting with major events and school-wide promotional efforts

Full-Time Equivalency: This newly created role is a part-time, 0.50 FTE position with flexible hours and the opportunity to do some work remotely.
