POSITION SUMMARY
The cook position is responsible for; Food Preparation, Lunch Serve, and Clean Up.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
High school graduate or equivalent
SKILL REQUIREMENTSKnowledge of commercial food preparation and equipment beneficial
Basic computer skills
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
Within one year of employment; HACCP, Food Safety and ICS 100 certification
ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Mostly clean and comfortable; noise; hazardous equipment; temperature extremes
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending
Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds
Occasional lifting 21 up to 50 pounds

- Food Preparation - assist in preparation and cooking lunch, and or breakfast
- Additional prep may include; salad bar and deli set up
- Serve lunch - comply with reimbursable meal standards and food portions
- Performs various daily kitchen cleaning activities; sweep, mop, and dishwashing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
High school graduate or equivalent
SKILL REQUIREMENTSKnowledge of commercial food preparation and equipment beneficial
Basic computer skills
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
- Is flexible, and willing to cross train on all kitchen job duties.
- Has the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers
- Must comply with Food Service; policies, procedures, HAACP, and mandated food safety standards.
- Displays sound judgment and decision making skills.
- Physical ability to work at a steady fast pace, and meet daily food preparation and food serve times.
