ACCEL Schools is seeking a Facilities professional to keep an ambitious agenda on track. Projects will span a multi-state portfolio of charter schools and management of building renovations and expansions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong service attitude who communicates effectively and proactively with team members, contractors and management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school managers, engineers, architects, building officials, etc. to determine the specifications of projects
• Identify and scrutinize contractors for construction and improvement projects
• Manage Request for Proposal process in compliance with federal, state and local requirements
• Ensure project milestones are met within schedule and budget
• Provide timely and professional updates to internal clients and management
• Solicit feedback from internal clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop longer-term improvement plans that maximize resources
• Managing relationships with suppliers for facility services, building materials and supplies

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related
• Working knowledge of construction or mechanical systems preferred
• Minimum 2 years' project management experience
• Clear, concise, and timely written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills and experience managing numerous projects simultaneously
• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite, MS Project (or equivalent)
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
